To be the leaders
in value creation.
MKM Projects is a Qualicum Beach based commercial general contractor, operating on Vancouver Island since 2018. To ensure that we get to where we say we are going, we use a proprietary Internal Quality Management System to drive value.
We listen. We take pride in what we do and search for the best. We learn by listening to each other and to what the industry demands. This is how we elevate ourselves, our processes and our projects.
Driven to deliver excellence. We pay attention to the details. To what works and to what doesn’t. We’re on it. MKM is a team motivated to create award-winning projects.
Better to best. We’re a solutions-based team. Problems are back ended with solutions. Lessons are learned and processes are improved. This is how we go from better to best.
We create a succession of successes. It’s our trademark. What we build impacts the environment and communities. We want our building owners to be proud of what we have created together long after we’ve left the site.
MEET THE TEAM
Direct and to the point, Jordan doesn’t have time for too much chit-chat. His number one concern is getting the job done, making sure the client is in the know and responding to project demands. When not at work, he enjoys time with his family and living the west coast lifestyle.
A hockey and football fan, Dan knows the true meaning of team. As a team player, in and out of the office, Dan leads project crews on-site and keeps builds on the winning side. He commits his weekends to be the referee to his three sons and growing family. Based south of Nanaimo, Dan calls the Island home.
Keeping the boys in line and rolling with the office humour has become second nature to Nicole as she manages the “behind-the-scenes” at MKM. She’s smart. She knows when to chime in or when to quietly stay buried in her never-ending pile of paperwork. In her spare time, she enjoys getting quiet and enjoying all that Vancouver Island has to offer.
Taking numbers and making them work for clients is what Kyle focuses on. He knows the key to successful construction management is taking the time to plan and keeping the eye on the ball from start to finish. His personal time is important to him as he unplugs with his wife and newborn son, and savours the pace of Island living.
With a well-rounded skillset derived from decades of residential experience and with a reputation of delivering excellence for his clients, Graeme treats all projects as his own. When Graeme is not working, he enjoys camping, surfing and all the beauty that Vancouver Island and coastal BC have to offer with his wife and two children.
A decorated site supervisor with experience amongst the ranks of Vancouver Island’s top contractors, Ryan is a humble individual with an eye for detail. A self-starter, Ryan never settles for mediocre results, this can be seen in the exceptional projects he delivers. As a mid-island resident Ryan enjoys his time away from work building a cabin amongst the woods of the southern Gulf Islands.
WE WEAR THE MKM NAME WITH PRIDE
MKM approaches every project as if it will be an award-winning project.
While not every project can win an award, we begin each build as if it would. Awards are the ultimate reward for having done a job well whether as a formal presentation or a glowing letter of reference from a client. Our ultimate award is a satisfied client who would hire MKM over and over again.
MKM believes that quality is central to its organization’s service delivery and to the project experience of its clients.
MKM is driven to deliver excellence and has developed an Internal Quality Management System (IQMS) to act as an iterative tool to ensure that we get to where we say we are going. Our commitment is to do a great job as it is important toward maintaining repeat clients.
MKM understands the importance and impact that energy and operational savings have over the life cycle of a building.
We look for business-smart-sustainable solutions in every project that we design; not just on the LEED, Boma Best, or other targeted certified projects. To us, it is more than a trend; it defines everything we do.
